It's been a stormy few weeks over at SW:TOR for Anvil of Crom. We managed to full clear Eternity Vault on 8-man normal mode the first week, downing Soa and his minions with relative ease despite the insane amount of bugs in the content. Everything started going wrong from the very first pull of the first boss fight, which ended up in bugging his spawn by touching the shield generators, multiple instance resets and lots of cool finnish curses flying around in TS. Gharj didn't pose that much trouble for us, but the pylons did as the topmost disc kept keeping stuck for us multiple times. Duel encounter went relatively well, except for Rage who gets a special mention here for failing his fight two times in a row. Well, he's our very special little boy after all. <3
And then we got to Soa. It's hard to even remember all the specific bugs we encountered during the tries. Dropping platforms kept bugging up in phase 2. Mindtraps didn't despawn and morphed into ultra mindtraps of doom that teleported you into empty copy instance if you targeted them. Flying stones that were supposed to break Soa's shield in P5 didn't spawn at all, or kept bugging and leaving the shield up after the impact. You name the bug, we sure had it on some try, guaranteed.
After clearing the normal modes for both EV and Bonetrasher, we had a go on hardmodes. First tries on the first boss in EV after our normal mode run ended in tears, as we lacked dps and coordination to stay alive through the 10% nuke. Bonetrasher hardmode training last week ended in similar fashion, lacking tons of dps and healing power to even keep the group up to get close to a kill. Later run on EV HM proved succesfull however, as we perfected the tactics for #1 and took Gharj down on second try after that. Follow-up later that week was, once again, ridiculed by bugs on Pylons, leaving us with 4/5 EV HM, and some odd tries on Soa for soaking training.
