[Important reading] This is how AoC raids

Postby Primadonna » Mon Mar 09, 2009 12:24 pm

After watching most of our trials making same mistakes all over again. I'm writing this step-by-step guide about our raiding habits.

Raiding Days
-Wednesday, Sunday, Monday
-Invites ~16.30 server time, 1st pulls around 17.00, Raid ends ~20.30

Invite process
-Primadonna announces on Guild chat that invites are up. I have an addon for it that automatically invites people to the raid that whisper certain keyword for me. This keyword is: invite
-I'm expecting everyone that wants to raid with us to join the raid within 15 minutes after start of the invites. This includes all the trials and active members. Do not wait for invitation, you are expected to join anyway so get to the raid and move to the instance
-When you join the raid doesn't affect your chances of getting raid spot. I'm making decisions about group setup while people are filling the raid. Naturally, I want to see our trial members in action so as long as you join the raid in time you will get a spot.
-Especially Wednesday raids are filled with people. I'll do my best to offer everyone raiding time and chance to see new bosses. Usually this is done by forming pairs with players of similar role. For example: One ret paladin does bosses 1,2,3 and and 2nd retri join for remaining three bosses

Getting started & Pulling
-The most important thing. Make sure you are inside the instance and ready to go before 17.00 (server time)
-Keep people buffed at all times. We hate buffing breaks before farm bosses.
-Prepare for fast pulling. Tanks expect you to follow, don't let them down.

Killing bosses
-ASK IF YOU ARE NOT 100% SURE WHAT TO DO

Looting
-Check DKP rules for more details about this
-In general. We won't let looting interfere with pulling more trash. Just loot your badges and rush to next trash pack
-As for our DKP system. It is almost like a minigame inside our raids that is source of some friendly competition among the raiders. Be clever with it. Don't bid any more than you have to, points you saved a month ago might just make the difference when that imba epic drops in Ulduar.

Raid Over
-Do not leave the raid before we announce that raid is over. You might just miss your ending DKP if you do that.
-Suru or Cinde make WWS and WMO parses of our raids. You want to check them out to see how well you did compared to others and what not. Those sites offer paramount amount of information for people that are willing to search for it. Are you that dedicated trial that wishes to improve his/her gameplay?

That is more or less what you should know before joining. Other must read topics can be found here:
