Cataclysm and upcoming changes

Postby Laurel » Sat Jul 17, 2010 1:08 pm

So, some may have already seen gadsbys post earlier today that was filled with ill-tempered ideas and misunderstood lines of texts from officer forums. ( i deleted the post cos of information leak)

Even so, Tell about your plans in clysm, like what are you gona do, class-change speck change etc.

I can like start:

Im atleast gona lvlup my trusty paladin and continue as dps, if it is still useable spec and mayby try to learn how to tank :P I dont know about my raiding tho, at this point it looks like nothing is gona change but youll never know.

OK.

For those who have read the post or are just interested on this growing drama, here is some facts:

First of all, Anvil of Crom will continue raiding in 25man mode untill we hit leveling phase in clysm.

Second, unlike what was stated on the deleted post, no1 is gone get kicked when clysm starts cos we are happy "family" here, atleast AoC is my home and so feels alot of ppl in the same way.

Third, Anykind gossip of forming somekind of "super raiding guild" with 15 ppl is not gona happen. Think it like this, even if some ppl has über gear and skill, with out the 24 others, they are nothing. Diversity among guild is the thing that makes us special.

Fourth Why would you want to leave AoC and find a new guild? In my years in this game, with my downfalls and so on, i have never been in a better guild and community as Anvil of Crom. We are bigger than normal guild, we are better than normal guild cause that community and possibility to do more than just wow with the ppl that you may have met in this game.

Lets see if this gets deleted again -

In response to Laurel's post.
I have been in this guild a long time, had a lot of fun, and care about most of the people in it. That is why im telling everyone what i read on the officer forums.

Which was:
Anvil of Crom will still exist in Cataclysm BUT
15 people, who were listed in the post, will be leaving to make a new 10 man raiding guild.
This guild will not recruit.

All i wanted to do was to warn people that this is likely to be the case - If im wrong then link Primadonna's post from officer forums (which i funnily enough no longer have access to) and the matter will be sorted out. I will know if it has been changed.

Its all well saying Anvil of Crom will exist in Cataclysm, but if the core raiders leave then its just a complete joke and I for one, who is aware of the history and friendships in this guild wont stand for it.

Everyone, please. Just keep your heads cool now, no more mod nazism or post deleting, and hopefully the offs will take the matter into public sooner than later.

the original officer posts were moved to this forum, i'll leave this one unlocked so people can still comment on what they plan for cata tho.

Offical post > viewtopic.php?f=52&t=3266

edit - in regards to gadsby, you read a single post from ~15 and decided that was the conclusion of the discussion, not the instigation. Every post following that disagreed with it, yet you failed to comment on this.

I suppose Junis post quoted below didn't provide enough kindling for the fire you were hoping to enflame.

I say no to reducing guild size so that we can never do stuff outside raid times. I like the idea of letting the guild grow on its own and having as many 10 man raids as there is willing leaders to organize them. Do we have those people outside officer rank? Dunno, hardly got them within officer rank, althou some (non officers too) have been leading lousy pugs a lot.

On Topic then.

I will level my strong Paladin for cataclysm for sure and still be playing Holy as main, probably offspecing for Protection (heard it got buffed -Cele) because it's fun to tank and take shit loads of numbers and whine at healers when they haven't healed me enough.

Apart from that I'm running a raiding guild on horde side with my IRL friends, they've finally started playing here and we're raiding atm, so as soon as Mr Paladin is lvl 85 I will get some random gear and asap lvl my warrior to 85.

I'm freaking hardcore and and you probably know that I wont get a job anyway because I'm a freakin slacker :D Which I like to be until my mom kicks me out or something, so u will at least see me on for the whole expansion at least.

This will probably take a lot of my time the first 1 month, with adjusting raid times, getting gear on both, raiding etc etc.

If more "suggestions" for Cataclysm raiding (if it's this thread to come up with those) is that we keep raiding 3 days a week like we do now, they are perfect, that would make everyone (mostly me tho :>) get a lot of free time spending outside/friends/family and so on.
We're still doing really good progress for being a 3day-raiding-guild.

I edit this and start feeling that raiding 25man would be moar awesome than raiding 10man, since I will be raiding 10man on my warrior and might feel a bit meh, doing this on 2 chars will probably be oring : (

So hopefully we will get 25man going, otherwise I might return to horde and keep raiding with my irls on horde side.
